BIO

Jared Faber is a multi-Grammy–winning and Emmy-nominated composer whose work spans major animated franchises, network television, and live-action film. Known for shaping the musical identity of long-running series and theatrical studio features, he moves fluidly between large-scale scoring and crafting songs performed by major recording artists.

He has composed for network comedies including Suburgatory, Selfie, and Splitting Up Together, writing both the scores and main title themes, and served as score composer and songwriter/producer for the theatrical feature Teen Titans Go! To the Movies from Warner Bros. Animation. Early in his career, he scored the beloved animated series As Told by Ginger and earned an Emmy nomination for Clifford’s Puppy Days.

Building on his foundation in animation, Jared has become a frequent creative collaborator within the animated television space, contributing scores and songs to major franchises including The Boss Baby, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, The Tiny Chef Show, and ongoing projects across the Warner Bros. Animation slate. He is regularly called upon for long-running series and crossover specials, helping define the musical identity of studio tentpole properties.

His songwriting and production work for film and television has featured performances by artists as diverse as Macy Gray, Carly Rae Jepsen, LeAnn Rimes, and Michael Bolton, reflecting the level of talent entrusted to bring his songs to life on screen.

His work extends deeply into the Latin music world. He co-wrote and co-produced Beto Cuevas’ Transformación, which won a Latin Grammy for Best Pop/Rock Album, and co-wrote for Alex Cuba’s Latin Grammy–winning album Healer. With longtime production partner Kool Kojak, he co-founded Urban Legend, a genre-blending project first recorded in Havana, Cuba. The project later expanded into collaborations with emerging Latin artists including Debi Nova, earning critical acclaim, becoming a favorite on KCRW, charting on the CMJ World Music charts, generating national college radio airplay, and leading to early television placements.

Beyond projects created specifically for screen, his record productions — released under his own name and through artist collaborations — have generated high-profile placements across television, film, and advertising, including CSI: Miami, Dexter, Nip/Tuck, The Smurfs, and national campaigns for Nike.

As a result of the visibility generated by Urban Legend, he was tapped to serve as Music Director and Band Leader for the Guys Choice Awards when the show adopted a Cuban-themed production. He assembled and led a 12-piece live band for the nationally televised, irreverent, star-studded event.

In parallel with his screen work, Jared continues to produce and collaborate with boundary-crossing artists including Jacob Jeffries (of Vulfpeck) and the roots-Americana duo War & Pierce (Sunny War and Chris Pierce), bringing the same cinematic sensibility to records as he does to film and television.
